Maria Lus Marcilla's Obituary
Maria Luz Marcilla, 74, died Monday, October 11, 2010.
Maria "Lucha" Marcilla will be remembered for her love and devotion to her family and friends. She served her community as a Guadalupana and will be greatly missed.
Mrs. Marcilla was the 2nd child born at Flagstaff Hospital in Flagstaff, Arizona in 1936. She graduated from Flagstaff High School in 1957. She was co-owner with her husband of Max's Tamale Shop which operated in downtown Flagstaff in the early 1960's thru 1980.
She was preceded in death by her husband Maximo P Marcilla. She is survived by her children, Joe P and Nora Marcilla, Max and Diana Marcilla, and her brother Joe Becerra all of Flagstaff, and 3 grandchildren.
Services will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Chapel, 224 S Kendrick, Flagstaff. Holy Rosary on Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. Funeral service on Thursday, October 14th at 10:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Northland Hospice, P.O. Box 997, Flagstaff, AZ 86002.
