Marian Beatrice Nevitt, 81, passed away on Sunday, August 13, 2006 in Flagstaff, Arizona. Marian was born on October 30, 1924 in Kansas City, Missouri to Forrest Holt "Jake" Nevitt and Bertha (Spaid) Nevitt.
The second of three girls, Marian's elder sister is Katherine Louise Crain of California and the younger sister, Betty Jean Williams of California (deceased).
Marian resided in Kansas City, Missouri with her Father, Mother and two sisters until the approximate age of 9 when the family moved to California.
Marian married Robert Ward Roberts (Bob), who preceded her in death after 50 years of marriage. Marian and Bob have two children, Priscilla Louise (Jack) Gallaher and Lester (Karen) Roberts, who thank God for their loving Mother.
Marian and Robert lived in Compton, CA, and then Cerritos, CA until Robert's death, after which she came to live in Flagstaff, AZ to be with and near family.
Priscilla and Jack have three children, Dean Gallaher (Kim), David Gallaher, and Deborah (Jeff) Savin. Dean's children: Mitchell Morgan and Kyle Robert. Deborah's children: Jacquelynn Danielle Savin, Andrew Franklynn Savin, Phillip Allynn Savin, Benjamin Lynn Savin, and Daniel Dyllynn Savin.
Marian was also preceded in death by her parents, other family members and especially precious, three great grand babies as well as leaving behind a great-great grandchild on the way, and nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends who will always remember her love, generosity, selflessness, sense of humor, and her quiet and faithful devotion to God Who has now taken her into His presence as promised through her faith in Jesus' shed blood on the cross to pay for her sin; a commitment she made to Him as a child.
Among her many joys, were her family, stamp & coin collecting, and flower gardening.
Services are scheduled for Wednesday, August 16, 2006, at Flagstaff Christian Fellowship, 123 S. Beaver, Flagstaff, AZ 86004, at 11:00 a.m., and Graveside Services will be on Friday, August 18, 2006, at Cypress Forest Lawn in Cypress, California at 11:00 a.m.
A viewing is being provided at Norvel Owens Mortuary, 914 E. Route 66, Flagstaff, AZ, 86001 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 15, 2006.
Arrangements are made by Norvel Owens Mortuary.
