Mark Victor Karchefski passed away on May 8, 2023, at the age of 66, peacefully in his home. Mark was formally of Corunna, MI and retired in Bullhead City/Flagstaff, AZ. He was born in Detroit on July 19, 1956, the son of Frank & Adeline (Brennan) Karchefski whom procced him in death along with an infant daughter Anna Marie and a sister Gail Ann Bonsor (Karchefski).

As a boy, he grew up playing baseball and duck hunting with his father. He helped his mother on the horse farm and enjoyed the summer days on his first motorcycle. Mark came from a long line of Iron Workers and started his career after high school at 17 years old. After retiring from Iron Workers Union Local 25 in Detroit, Mark went through further training and traveled the nation working as a boilermaker/Ironworker for 10 more years.

Mark was a proud member of many clubs & societies, all for over 25 years: The American Legion, Loyal Order of Moose, Elks Lodge, various locations in Michigan and Arizona. Mark enjoyed many activities like sports, shooting ranges or shooting cans with friends, a good steak with a side of bourbon, desert star gazing with the telescope, and most importantly his family/friendships. Mark was very particular in things being just so and showed pride in the things he devoted his time to. Mark spent the last many years traveling to enjoy the better weather. He enjoyed riding his Harley on many adventures throughout the nation, especially along the coast of California and different unbeaten paths with his UTV.

Mark leaves behind two (2) Daughters, Amy (Patrick) Leal of Little Rock, AR, and Sarah Karchefski of Oscoda, MI with a grandson Joseph (JoJo) Kenneth Dimarco Jr.. A brother Darrell Bonsor of Onondaga, MI and several nieces with their families. Mark will forever leave a hole in many hearts as everyone that knew him was considered family. Due to having so many that loved Mark, his family will be holding several celebrations of life to give everyone a chance to share their memories of him. The first is in Michigan the first week of August, and in two (2) locations in AZ so as his "winter & summer crew" will be able to attend. Family will be notifying family and friends in the near future when dates are determined.

In honor of Mark, memorial contributions can be made to the Polycystic Kidney Disease "PKD" Foundation and The American Legion.
