Marlene Janet Pearsall 78 of Flagstaff, Az. passed away on Thursday February 9, 2012.
Marlene was born in Albuquerque, moved to California in 1942 and then to Flagstaff in 1950. While raising her children one of her jobs was working at a nursery, often turning around to spend her paycheck on plants and flowers to put in her yard. She also worked in the family business, Pearsall Refrigeration. She came out of retirement to work at Rocky Mountain Research Center as a receptionist, a place she spoke fondly of. It was her pleasure to bring in fresh baked goodies and home grown flower arrangements to share. She retired for good 3 years ago when her battle with cancer began.
Marlene was an avid hunter and outdoorsmen. She loved spending time at Lake Powell, teaching everyone how to ski and fish, not to mention showing everyone a good time. She enjoyed cooking and sharing her recipes. Her creativity and passions will live on through everyone she has touched.
She is survived by 3 children, Ron Pearsall, Tom Pearsall, wife Kathy, and Pam Williams, husband Jerry, 2 grandchildren Jeff and Rick Pearsall, 4 great grandchildren, Victoria Rose, Richard Jory, Isabella Kathleen, & Lenora Paige Pearsall, 2 brothers Buster Swallows, Jack Swallows wife Ann and 1 sister Joan Matthews.
Marlene requested not to have a service, but family and friends will gather at a later date to have a celebration of her life. The family requests no flowers be sent. If you care to donate in her behalf to the Olivia White Hospice House, P.O. Box 997, Flagstaff AZ 86002 it is appreciated.
