Mary Jo Anderson passed away April 10th surrounded by her family.  A long-time Flagstaff resident, Mary Jo was active in the community.  She will be most remembered not for all she did, however, but for the way she welcomed people into her life with compassion and caring.  Mary Jo had a love of butterflies recognizing "The butterfly can only become beautiful if the caterpillar stays brave." She loved her family deeply and is survived by her husband of almost 54 years, Vince, daughter Christy Farley (Tom, Dillon & Payton), son Steve Anderson (April, Austin, Ally, Collin, Terryn & Asher), and daughter Becky Mayer (Devin, Alex & Silas).  Mass and a celebration of life will be scheduled at a future date.  In lieu of flowers or food the family requests Mary Jo be honored with donations to two of the local charities she supported:  Flagstaff Family Food Center and High Country Humane. Service for Mary Jo will be held at St. Francis de Asis Church in Flagstaff on Friday, June 14th.  Rosary will be held at 10:00 am followed by mass at 10:30 am.
