Mary Margaret
Gaseau
Dec 7, 1948 — Oct 12, 2025
Mary Margaret Gaseau born 12/7/1948 was, quite simply, the best woman ever. She grew up in Grand Rapids, Michigan, surrounded by her 5 siblings Frank, Tom, Ed, Ann, and Kate. They loved ice skating at the pond across from their house and big family meals. She moved to Flagstaff in 1972 and soon met the love of her life, Steve. They were married in 1981 and their family grew complete when their sons were born- Dave in 1985 and Dan in 1989.
Every place Mary went blossomed with love and true friendship. She had an incredible career at Eye Care Associates, and always had the best looking glasses in the room. Mary loved watching the hummingbirds, the aspen leaves change color, and the beautiful summer sunsets. Her true passion was gardening. Whether gardening in her yard or volunteering with the Master Gardeners, she always was around plants. After filling the hummingbird feeders, she would always shout, " The restaurant is OPEN!"
Mary's love of life and sheer joy at being alive was indescribable. She was always positive, colorful and outgoing, full of laughter, and never forgot to enjoy the small things in life. Always inviting people over for dinner or drinks, her life was best lived surrounded by the people she loved. Mary loved hosting holiday gatherings at her house, hiding Easter eggs for her (now adult) kids and their partners, or dressing up as Santa to pass out presents at Christmas.
She was always happy and positive, even in the most dire of circumstances, she never lost what made her beautiful, unique and special.
Treat every day as a gift, and there's always room for more pie.
