Mary Ann Elizabeth Jahn ascended to her heavenly home on August 26, 2026 in Flagstaff, AZ. She was born on December 12, 1944 to Doris and John Keough in Kearney, Nebraska. Mary Ann was one of twelve children: Thomas, Cecilia, Louise, Joseph, Regina, Patrick, Michael, Dominic, Catherine, Elizabeth, and Theresa. Mary Ann is survived by her children Barbara (Geiger) Obermeier, Kenneth (Colene) Geiger, and Becky (Daniel) Daire. She was predeceased by daughter, Brenda, husband Lendall, parents, brothers Thomas and Dominic, sisters Louise and Catherine, and son in law Greg Obermeier. Her grandchildren are Georgia, Robert, Dillon, Carter, Cassandra, Matthew, Christopher Caitlyn, Cole, Devon, Trystyn, Meghan, Trevin, Scarlett, Blaze, Ella, Dorian, Soren, Tessa, Parker, and Everly as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Mary Ann will be especially remembered for her creativity, humor and presence. She was always the life of the party and excelled at party planning for many occasions particularly Sisters’ Weekend, Halloween, Kentucky Derby Day and Huskers Football. She could turn anything into a game and truly believed that life was meant for fun. One of her grandchildren observed that to Grandma being ordinary was way overrated.

A memorial service will be held at The Legacy Alumni House in Kearney on Saturday, September 19th from 2 pm to 4 pm; burial will be a private service. While Mary Ann will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her, it is Heaven’s gain as she spreads joy throughout the realm. Without a doubt, Mary Ann is eternally blessed by Jesus whom she adored.
