Matthew Ross Dent, age20, passed into God's arms on September 10, 2007. He was
born on June 18, 1987 in Amarillo TX and lived his whole life in Williams, AZ.
Matthew was an outstanding athlete in youth sports throughout his childhood, and at
Williams High School where he excelled at football, basketball and baseball. In 2005 he
pitched a perfect game for the Vikings. He attended community colleges in Thatcher and
Prescott, AZ. He was currently working as a flooring installer.

He is survived by his loving parents, David and Bonnie Dent, sister Amber Dent Antonio,
niece Katia Mendoza, nephew Michael Mendoza, all of Williams. Also grandfather
Vernon Heaton of Quincy IL and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Also mourning his death are the Gillispie and Mitchell families of Dalhart, Texas, his
work partner Sam Nazario, and church families at St. John's Episcopal/Lutheran Church
and First Baptist Church of Williams.

Matthew was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Jack and Jacie Dent, and
maternal grandmother Pearl Heaton.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 15,2007 at 2:00pm at St. John's
Episcopal/Lutheran Church, 202W. Grant St., in Williams. In lieu of flowers,
contributions would be greatly appreciated for the Dent Scholarship of the Williams
Viking Booster Club, PO Box 427, Williams, AZ 86046.
