May Watson Hoffman 86, passed away peacefully Wednesday morning August 8, 2007 at Flagstaff Medical Center.

Born in Superior, AZ, on May 25, 1921, the youngest of three children, May Watson graduated from St. Joseph's School of Nursing in Phoenix, and began a nursing career that spanned 48 years. She met and married her sweetheart, Elden Hoffman, a Fremont, Ohio native, and they lived in Tiffin, Ohio for 32 years, where their love story included raising their ten children. May worked at Mercy Hospital, mostly in Labor & Delivery and the ER, ending her service there as night supervisor. May & Elden retired to Prescott, Arizona in 1989, where they enjoyed making new friends, traveling, visiting children and grandchildren, and just being together. In 2003, shortly before they were to celebrate 60 wonderful years together, Elden passed away. May moved to the Peaks in Flagstaff after a short stay at the Peridot Assisted Living in Prescott.

May is survived by all of her children, who were able to thank her in person during her brief terminal illness: Ron (Boynton Beach, Fl, with Dee Ann Terrell), Rick (Austin, TX, with Dixie), Christine (Miami, FL), David (Plano, TX, with Hiya), Monica Sue (NYC), Patrice (Ellicott City, MD, with John Halt), Mary (Alamosa, CO, with Gene Schilling), Dan (Flagstaff, AZ, with Anna), Tom (Mobile, AL, with Marilyn Grobschmidt), and Timothy (Prescott Valley, AZ, with Barbara Bohlier). She also left eight grandchildren, Rick, Bob, Lisa, Fred, Alex, Sydney, Michelle, and Marissa, and five great-grandchildren. She belonged to St. Mary's Church in Tiffin, Sacred Heart in Prescott, and San Francisco de Asis in Flagstaff. May and Elden worked hard to provide all their children Catholic educations- donations in her honor to supplement the Elden G. Hoffman Scholarship Fund may be sent directly to Calvert High School in Tiffin, Ohio.

Memorial Mass will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 9, 2007 at St. Pius Catholic Church. Interment will be held at a later date in Prescott.
