Megan Elizabeth Evans' Obituary
Megan Elizabeth Evans, 7, of Flagstaff, died suddenly Saturday, July 7, 2007, following a tragic accident while on a family trip to Lake Powell.
Ms. Evans was born to Matthew and Jennifer Evans on Feb. 16, 2000. From the day she was born, she filled her parents' lives with all that is good -- life, energy, laughter and love. She loved to entertain; putting on productions and dances for anyone that would watch. She made this world a brighter place for everyone who knew her, filling life with a sense of adventure and excitement.
She loved life, and she spent hours making beautiful artwork to brighten the rooms of family and friends. She reveled in all that nature had to offer, from planting beautiful flowers to opening her heart and tending to all of God's creatures. She was both a beautiful little girl who loved to play models with her cousin Natalie, and a strong go-getter who spent hours wrestling around with her brother and cousins.
She was a beloved daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece and friend and will be truly missed by everyone whose life she touched. While on earth she was her parents' angel. Her family now believes she is "God's little jackpot." Her final hours were spent surrounded by family, wonderful friends and the deepest love. She was a shining star, and the lives she touched will never be the same without her.
She is survived by her parents, Matthew and Jennifer Evans; brother McKenzie; and sister Camryn. She is also survived by a close extended family, including great-grandparents; grandparents; aunts and uncles; cousins; and more extended family and friends.
Her family and friends would like to help prevent other families from suffering the loss of a loved one to carbon monoxide poisoning and have set up the Megan Evans Memorial Cause to raise awareness of this unseen danger. Donations can be made through Chase Bank.
Services will be Friday, at 11 a.m., at Christ's Church of Flagstaff. Condolences and flowers may be sent to the family in care of Christ's Church of Flagstaff, 3475 E. Soliere Ave. Flagstaff, AZ 86004.
