Melba Lee Joe Neal, 76, of Flagstaff passed away December 5, 2010. She was born February 9, 1934 in Quitman, Mississippi to the proud parents of Angeline Chapman and Lumm Moss

Melba and her parents moved to Flagstaff, AZ in 1936. She attended Dunbar Elementary, Flagstaff Jr. High and Flagstaff High School. She was employed as a bartender, maid but most important a homemaker.

Melba leaves to morn her children Melvin (Ruth) Neal of Flagstaff, Steve (Savannah) Neal, Joe Crowe of Phoenix, Ruby Pearl, Angeline Crowe of Flagstaff. Virginia Neal, Brenda Neal and Robert Neal preceded her in death. Three brothers, Artis Moss of Phoenix, Robert (Rosie) and Clyde (Virginia) Joe of Flagstaff, AZ. Five sisters, all preceded her in death, Betsy Barrett, Helen Barrett, Ethel Hinkle, Beatrice Barrett, and Leila Mae Tate. Melba was the grandmother of twenty-two, great grandmother of twenty-five, and great-great grandmother of one. She also leaves a host of nephews, nieces other family members and friends.

Visitation will be Sunday evening from 5 to 7pm at the Norvel Owens Mortuary, 914 E. Route 66. Funeral service will be Monday December 13th at 10am also at Norvel Owens Mortuary.
