Melinda Long passed away surrounded by her family at Flagstaff Medical Center on October 25, 2007. She was born on July 20, 1963 of the Manygoats/Redhouse clan and for the Yucca Fruit clan. She was preceded in death by her mother Lucy Riggs Long, paternal grandparents Charley and Alice Long, uncles Henry Long, Albert Riggs, Roy Riggs and an older brother Emerson Long who died as an infant. Melinda is survived by her husband Sean Shannon, daughter Guadalupe Mendez of Ventura CA, sons Eric Paul of San Francisco CA, Guillermo and Gabriel Lomeli of Ventura CA. She is also survived by her father Charlie Long Jr, brother Emery Long, sisters Charlotte Curley, and Pearl Tsosie as well as her half sisters, aunts, uncles and many nieces and nephews. Melinda will be missed by all. There will be a meeting at Leupp Nazarene Church on Saturday at 6:00 pm. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 am MST on Monday October 29, 2007 at Round Cedar Nazarene Church following the viewing at 9:00 am.
