Obituary

Michael Christopher Lahn, age 46, passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2024  after a short illness at Flagstaff Medical Center.  He was born on March 23 1978, in Phoenix, Arizona to Steve Lahn and Peggy Browne.  He was a graduate of Flagstaff High School, Class of 1996 where he played on the varsity baseball team and where he found his love of cooking.  He went on to earn a degree in Culinary Arts at the Arizona Art Institute.  Michael had a passion for food and cooking.  Michael worked as a chef in many kitchens in Arizona, Washington, and Idaho.  Michael loved the outdoors and was an avid disc golfer.  He was a member of the Professional Disc Golf Association.  He was an enthusiastic sports fan also.  During football season you would find him cheering on his favorite team, the Pittsburgh Steelers. The only thing Michael loved more than his family was his dog, Bella.  Michael loved German Shepherds and Bella was his third, following Kava and Aries.   Michael is survived by his parents, Steve Lahn (Yvonne Swauger), Peggy Browne (Michael).  He is also survived by his sisters, Amy Johnson (Danny), Katie Chavez (Shawn), brother, David Lahn (Annemarie), and his fiancé, Jennifer Cox.  Michael was known as Uncle Mike by all of his nieces and nephews. He was their partner in crime and was known as quite a dancer in his niece's TikTok videos.

Family and friends whose life Michael touched are invited to his Celebration of Life on Saturday, June 1 at Fort Tuthill, the Cochise Ramada, from 12:00 – 5:00 pm.  Come by and share your best Michael stories, as we know there are many.
