It is with great sadness that the family of Michael J. Rossi, 52, of Flagstaff, AZ and a former longtime resident of Springfield, MA died tragically in an automobile accident on Tuesday, September 9, 2008. He was born in Springfield, MA on August 10, 1956 a son of Bella E. (Casineau) Rossi of West Springfield, MA and Stanley J. Rossi of Tampa, FL. He was predeceased by his brother, Joseph P. Rossi who died on April 10, 2008. He is survived by his three sons, Eric J. and Adam M., both of Westfield, MA and Drew A. of Huntington, MA. His brother, Frank A. of West Springfield, MA. His granddaughters, Shania and Lillyanna Bella. A niece, Jennifer A. of CA. A nephew, Nicholas P. of Westfield, MA. His former wife, Harriet of Huntington, MA. He also leaves many cousins, aunts and uncles. He will also be sadly missed by his many friends and co-workers at S.C.A. in Flagstaff, AZ. Michael was a happy-go-lucky guy and a loving son. He enjoyed sports and especially loved baseball. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing and camping. His family and many friends will cherish their memories of him forever. His family and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, September 19, 2008 at 9:30 a.m. in Holy Name Church, 323 Dickinson Street in Springfield, MA. His burial will be private at the convenience of his family. His family has requested that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
