Orene L. Brooks passed away peacefully at Flagstaff Medical Center March 9, 2022. Orene was born in Saline, Louisiana to Leroy Lard and Lena McNeal Lard on July 11, 1938. Orene moved to Flagstaff, Arizona in the early sixties where she met and married Clarence Brooks, her husband of 56 years.

Orene was preceded in death by her parents Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Lard, her husband Clarence Brooks Sr, son Henry W. Brooks, daughter Karen L. Brooks, five brothers and three sisters. Orene is survived by her sons Clarence Brooks Jr., Darrean Burrell Brooks (Shon) and Gregory L. Brooks (Crystal). Orene is also survived by 7 granddaughters, 1 grandson, 7 great-granddaughters, 3 great-grandsons, 1 brother and 3 sisters.

Visitation will be at Norvel Owens Mortuary Friday, March 18th from 6:00 to 7:00 pm. Final Viewing will resume at First Missionary Baptist Church Saturday Morning from 10:00 am to11:00 am. Funeral service is at 11:00am March 19, 2022. Interment will be at Citizens Cemetery 1300 San Francisco Street Flagstaff, Arizona.
