Paul Raymond Hilse Sr went home to be with the Lord on December 8 ^th , 2019.

Paul was born on December 30 ^th , 1936 to Authur Hilse and Elfrieda Hilse in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.  After graduating from High School Paul earned an Associates degree in Forestry from Compton College in Compton California.

Paul was an outdoorsman, loved to fish, hunt, camp and drive a boat.  His favorite shopping place was Bass Pro Shop.  He enjoyed having company, sometimes it was hard to tell until it was time to say goodbye.  Saying goodbye was not his favorite thing to do.  In contrary saying goodnight was his favorite nightly routine.  He enjoyed a "Waltons" goodnight, saying goodnight to all his loved ones, real or stuffed, present or far away.

Paul is survived by his wife Janet Hilse,  6 children, 19 grandkids,  3 honorary grandkids and 20 great grandkids.

Paul will be reunited with his father, Authur Hilse,  his mother Elfriede Hilse, his son Paul Raymond Hilse II, and his brother and sister.

Services will be held at Peace Lutheran Church, 3430 N 4th St. Flagstaff, AZ  Monday December 16 ^th at 11:00.
