Peter John Meluch beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather went home
to be with the Lord on May 3, 2012.

Peter was the first twin boy born on January 4, 1931 to John and Mary Meluch in Cleveland, Ohio. He was the loving husband of Glenda "Sue" Meluch and they shared a
wonderful life together for 60 years. He is the proud father of Mary Long (Steven),
Elizabeth Sims (Jason), and Peter Michael (Julie). He is the grandfather to three
granddaughters, Katherine E Long, Christina A Steinhour, and Jessica L Kerr, with 11
great-grandchildren.

Pete had many accomplishments in his life. He enlisted in the United States Air Force,
January 7, 1949 where he was stationed at Davis Monthan Air Force, Tucson, Arizona,
as an MP. While stationed at DMAF he meet and married Sue at the Base Chapel in
November, 1951. He was honorably discharged in January 6, 1955 as a Staff Sgt. He
was then employed with Mountain States Telephone and Telegraph Company in Tucson,
and transferred to Flagstaff in November of 1961. He retired from the phone company in
November, 1985.

Pete was an active member of the Telephone Pioneers of America, where he served as
President of the Kachina Club of Flagstaff in 1977-1978. He was a life member of the
Flagstaff Elks Lodge #499, where he held a number of offices. Pete was Secretary for the
Elks 23 years, and in March of 20 11 he retired.

Pete was a member of St Puis X Catholic church, where he and Sue participated in many
different activities.

He enjoyed playing cards, golfing and fishing with his family and friends. He was loved
by many and will be greatly missed. . In lieu of flowers family requests donations to National Foundation or Arizona Elks Major Projects thru the Flagstaff Elks Lodge.

Visitation and Rosary will be at Norvel Owens Mortuary, Thursday, 5pm to 7pm, Rosary will begin at 7pm. Funeral Mass will be Friday morning 10am at St. Pius X Catholic Church. Burial with military honors to follow at the Veterans Section of Citizens' Cemetery.
