Randall E. Davidson, 80, passed away on February 19, 2025, in Tempe, Arizona. Born on February 26, 1944, in Childress, Texas, Randall was a proud Texan whose roots and heritage meant the world to him.

Randy earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona in 1966. After obtaining his CPA license, he practiced public accounting for 10 years in Roswell, New Mexico and Phoenix, Arizona.  He then entered the copier industry as an owner of Uni-Copy Corporation and served as president and COO from 1974-1986. In 1986, he formed Dahill Industries in Austin, Texas and received the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 1999. From 2004 – the present, he was owner and president of Texas Document Solutions.  He served on the FCB National Advisory Board, was honored as a NAU Alumni, and inducted into the W.A. Franke College of Business Alumni and Faculty Hall of Fame in 2003. His career was more than just a profession—it was a passion that defined much of his life. The excitement of entrepreneurship and the connections established over the years through the founding of multiple companies provided him with significant purpose and fulfillment. He cherished the people he worked with and found great joy in the journey of building businesses.

Randy, who grew up in Gallup, NM to a railroad family, had a deep love of trains and often took Amtrak trips with his grandchildren. He was also drawn to the open road due to his passion for driving and spent many reflective hours making long road trips between Austin and Flagstaff.

Randy shared a 59-year marriage with his beloved wife, Margaret R. Davidson. They met in college, and from the moment Randy saw Margaret, he knew she was the one he would marry. Their love was steadfast and enduring—a testament to their deep bond and commitment to one another. Together, they built a family that brought them great joy. Randy is survived by his wife Margaret; daughters Elizabeth L. Davidson and Beverly G. Wray; granddaughter Claire N. Wray; and grandson Randall C. Davidson. He was predeceased by his father James I. Davidson, mother Hattie L. Davidson, and brother Larry L. Davidson.

Faith played an important role in Randy's life. He had a personal relationship with the Lord and deeply loved his home church, Hyde Park Baptist Church in Austin, Texas.

Randy derived immense satisfaction from spending time with his family, both in their home and workplace. The presence of his daughters and grandchildren in the office over the years was a source of great joy and cherished memories for him. His legacy is one of dedication to family, to work and to faith—he will be deeply missed by all who know him.
