Obituary

Regis "Rex" L. Mooney passed away on Wednesday, February 25.

Mr. Mooney was born October 28, 1922 in Appalachia, Virginia. He joined the United States Marine Corps in June 1942 and proudly served during World War II, receiving an honorable discharge in June 1946. Rex married the love of his life, Marian Pospishil in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, May 26, 1945. Rex and Marian were married 60 years.

Rex and Marian moved to Flagstaff, Arizona in 1962 where he was the agent for Greyhound Bus Lines and then continued in management with Yellow Freight System until his retirement.

Rex was preceded in death by his loving wife Marian. He is survived by four children, son Michael (Nancy), daughters, Kathleen (Patrick) Meadows, Patricia Trent, seven grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren..

Rex was a member of the Masonic Lodge, the Eastern Star, the Coconino Shrine Club, and the Elks Lodge in Flagstaff.

A memorial service will be held at the Masonic Lodge, 107 E. Birch (Upstairs) on Saturday, March 7, at 2:00 p.m. A private burial service will be held at a later date.
