In Loving Memory of Reynaldo Matthew Macias
July 30, 1984 – July 20, 2026

With profound love and cherished memories, we celebrate the life of Reynaldo Matthew Macias, lovingly known as Randy, who peacefully went home to the Lord on July 20, 2026, at the age of 41.

Randy was born on July 30, 1984, to his proud parents Rogelio Macias Sr. and Margaret Garcia. A lifelong resident of Flagstaff graduated from Coconino High School in 2002.

Randy, known for his unwavering Christian faith, was recently baptized at Mountain View Church.  He enjoyed attending bible study and weekly Sunday services.

Following his devotion to Christ, Randy's next known love was his family.  He was a devoted son, brother, uncle, and cousin. He enjoyed attending family functions and spending time with loved ones catching up and recalling stories.

Randy spent his entire life bringing joy and light to everyone he crossed paths with. Always ready to lend a helping hand when needed, he was known for regularly checking in on friends and loved ones to see how they were doing and if they needed help with anything.

Some of his favorite pastimes included pursuing his passion and love for music, spending quiet mornings drinking coffee and smoking a cigarette, enjoying good food and company, and staying busy working on various handyman projects.

He was best known for his smile, loving heart, and a natural ability to make others laugh and smile.  He had a special gift for making everyone feel like family, and a servants heart that led him to always put others first.

Randy leaves behind an enduring legacy of unconditional love and self-sacrifice, having always put others before himself. His giving spirit was reflected in his final act of generosity as an organ donor, providing the gift of life to others. Through this selfless decision, he was able to save and improve the lives of donor recipients in Arizona, New Mexico, and New Jersey, while also contributing to medical research.

Randy is survived by his mother, Margaret Garcia, 6 siblings, Roslynn, Renee, Rogelio Jr., Ryan, Randon, and Rolanda Macias, and his cherished nieces and nephews, Ercilia, Horacio, Irene, Francisco, Alfonso Jr, Alejandra, Mia Faye, Mariah, Mateo, Elahni and Enzo.  He also leaves behind countless friends and extended family members whose lives are forever enriched by knowing him.

Randy was preceded in death by his father, Rogelio Macias Sr., and his paternal grandparents, Pascual Macias Sr. and Ercy Macias, and maternal grandparents Santos and Fedelina Garcia.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held on August 1, 2026, at 3:00pm at Mountain View Church, 2150 E Linda Vista Drive, Flagstaff, AZ 86004.

Guests are encouraged to wear Lumberjack Blue and Gold to honor Randy's vibrant spirit and love for the NAU Lumberjacks.
