Robert (Bob) Hammond died on November 20, 2010. Bob was born to Wally and Charlene Hammond on October 18, 1956 in Hollywood California. Bob spent his childhood and much of his adult life in San Diego California. He moved to Flagstaff 8 years ago to be near his brother, Ray, whom he had a very close relationship with. Bob spent much of his life driving trucks both cross country and locally. He loved racing. As a teen and young adult he raced motorcycles and in his later adulthood, he got into racing midget cars. Davey Allison was his favorite NASCAR driver and his midget car number was in Davey's honor. Bob enjoyed going to NASCAR races with his brother and sister in law. Some of his happiest times were spent on the hillside at PIR. He was a diehard San Diego Padres and San Diego Chargers fan. Bob will always be remembered for his kind heart, amazing sense of humor, and his ability to make people laugh. He will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him. He is survived by his parents, Wally and Rochelle Hammond of Prescott and Charlene Thompson of Surprise. He leaves behind 4 beautiful daughters, Karli Cumpston, Leslie and Leigh Rivera, all from San Diego and Amanda Warren of Illinois. He also leaves behind his brother and sister in law Ray and Kyle Hammond of Flagstaff, sister Annie Stratton of San Diego, nephews Matt, Richie, Wesley, Robert, Francis, Christopher and a multitude of friends.
