Dr. Robert Wolyn died on August 25, 2016, in Flagstaff, Arizona. Robert was born in Elk, Poland on November 27, 1964. He is survived by his loving wife Dr. Agnieszka H. Wolyn, his son Adam, daughter Kasia, his mother Teresa Wolyn, his mother and father-in-law Krystyna and Jerzy Goszczynscy, brother and sister-in-law Krystyna and Andreas Gosch, and nephews Phillip and Kevin. Robert was preceded in death by his father Stanislaw Wolyn.

Dr. Robert Wolyn was a man to be remembered. Not only was he a wonderful husband, son, father, friend and mentor, he was an extremely accomplished physician. He and his wife graduated with medical degrees from the Medical Academy in Bialystok, Poland in 1990. With the collapse of the "Iron Curtain" they moved to Detroit, MI. Robert completed his residency at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan, as Chief Resident. He then went on to complete his three year fellowship in cardiology and two additional years in interventional cardiology. Dr. Wolyn was the original founder of the Cardiology Division for the large multi- specialty group MMPC in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

In 2011, Robert accepted a new opportunity at Mountain Heart Cardiology in Flagstaff, Arizona. He was a respected Interventional Cardiologist there and made a deep and lasting impression on the medical community in Flagstaff. The breadth of his accomplished Cardiology career is underscored by the profound and sincere care of his patients with whom he loved as family and his compassion deeply touched.

Robert had a tremendous zest for life and was the life of the party. Along with his wife Agnieszka, they provided a loving and fun filled family life. From skiing and biking the mountains, windsurfing Michigan lakes, to traveling the world, they enjoyed many adventures together as a family. He will be deeply missed and remembered by all who knew him.
