Roberta T. Fain

Roberta Fain, daughter of Northern Arizona pioneering parents Bob and Bess Thurston, who preceded her in death, passed away in her home on October 26, 2006. She was born in Kansas City, Missouri in 1917 and lived nearly all of her life in Williams. Also preceding her in death were her brother, Bill Thurston, and husband J. C. Fain.

She is survived by her brother, Chris Thurston; daughters, Pamela Fain, Rise Fain, and her sons, Robert Fain, Ted Fain, and Louis Fain; grandchildren, Gina Carpenter, (Pat) Lisa Cureton, (Shawn) Angele Pouquette, Tammie Parenteau, (Bud) Eric Olson,(Traci) Christopher Fain, and Matthew Fain. Her great grandchildren; Kirk Carpenter, Taylor Carpenter, Colt Cureton, Ty Cureton, Noah Cureton, Trevor Parenteau, Paige Parenteau, Alex Olson, Kelsey Olson, Lakyn Olson, Kennedy Olson, and Zach Olson; nieces and nephews; John Thurston, Bess Foster, Clarinda Vail, Ginny Blum, Bobbi Keller, Sandi Herron, Janice Benatz, Larry Benatz, Dinah Gemmill, and Sam Turner, and many great nieces and nephews.

Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Northern Arizona Hospice.
