Obituary

Roberta Jean Sullivan Garcia, 63, returned to her heavenly home on August 31, 2016 after a valiant battle with renal failure. Her devotion to her family and her firm belief in God supported her in her struggle and ultimately gave her peace.

Roberta is survived by her, husband Joseph G. Garcia of Flagstaff Arizona, her son's Micah Eugene ,Jacob Matthew, Jeshua David and Caleb Manias of Flagstaff Arizona, sister Bonnie Mae Heiberg of Cayucos California and niece Kimberly Modica of Hesperia California. She is preceded in death by her parents Robert Eugene (Rocky) Sullivan and Ethel Mae and her son Manias G. Garcia all of Santa Fe Springs California.

Roberta was born on September 25 1952 in Montebello, California to Robert Eugene (Rocky) and Ethel Mae Sullivan. She graduated from Pioneer High School in 1970.She married Joseph G. Garcia, in 1974. They moved to Flagstaff, Arizona in 1978 with first born son Micah who was two. Over period of time the couple welcomed three more sons into their home Jacob, Jeshua and Caleb and set about teaching them to love Jesus and His Word. Her sons remember her as a loving mother who encouraged them to pursue God in their life.
Roberta was accomplished at Arts and crafts, poetry and singing. She was a generous individual who loved to give her crafts away to love ones and close friends she also received great joy from collecting shells from around the world and who was passionate about her faith. She loved the body of Christ and was active as a co-pastor with the Foursquare Gospel Church.

A Celebration of her Life is scheduled for 10:30 Saturday, October 1st at Kingdomheirs Flagstaff 520 N. Switzer Canyon Dr. with a reception to follow at same location. Pastors Brandon Miller, Ken Edes, Bob Norton, and Delmer Geesey will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Roberta's life. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Northwoods Church PO Box 26 Williams AZ 86046. Donations will be used to offset the cost of Roberta's dialysis treatments incurred over the last 3 years. The family would like to thank Dr. Matthew Gembala, and US Renal Care their staff, nurses and technicon's for their dedication and their support to Roberta.
