Obituary

Roy B. Killinsworth, 79, of Williams died peacefully at his home on January 2, 2009. He was born in Sudan, Texas on October 21, 1929. Roy graduated in 1947 from Sudan High School. He served in the Korean War and was awarded the Silver Star in 1952. He graduated from Arizona State College (NAU) with a Degree in Business and Education. While attending Arizona State College, Roy met Jeannette Donovan of Williams. They were married on December 22, 1956. Roy owned and operated several businesses along Route 66 and Interstate 40 over his fifty plus years in Williams. Roy was the first Exalted Ruler of the Williams Elks Lodge in 1962, served on the Williams City Council and a long time member of the Williams Rotary.
He was preceded in death by his infant daughter Lisa Denise.
He is survived by his wife Jeannette, son Gary, daughter-in-law Josefina (Rico), six grandchildren, Kierra, Cameron, and Cassandra Killinsworth, Maria, Angel and Juan Alvarado, and one great grandson Kye Alvarado.
Services will be held at the Williams Methodist Church on Wednesday, January 7, 2009, at 11:00 AM.
