Shane Michael Cowan, 30, died unexpectedly on November 9, 2010 in Flagstaff.

From his first moments of life on December 14, 1979, Shane touched the lives of everyone he met.

Shane loved adventure, the outdoors, hunting, and, more than anything, he loved to be challenge. You could see this in the excellent work he did as a successful construction superintendent for the past 9 years, where he would tackle the most difficult problems with a twinkle in his eye.

Shane was an amazing and loyal son, brother, grandson, uncle, nephew, and friend. He always treated others with love, support, and respect throughout his life.

Shane is survived by his parents, Michael and Dorie Cowan, his sister Jesica Slawson, grandparents Dale and Donna Cowan and Joe and Marilyn Richards, nieces McKenzi, Maysen and nephew Treyton, as well as a host of adoring aunts, uncles, and friends. Shane, we will miss you more than words can describe.

A visitation for close friends and family will be held on Friday evening from 4-6pm at Novel Owens Mortuary 916 Route 66, Flagstaff, AZ 86004.

A memorial service and celebration of Shane's life will be held at 11:00am on Saturday November 13th, 2010 at Christ's Church of Flagstaff, 3475 Soliere Ave., Flagstaff, AZ 86004.
