Sharon Jean Ozment, 72, of Rimrock, Arizona went to be with her Lord Jesus, on July 11, 2011, surrounded by her family at her daughter's home in Flagstaff.

Sharon was born in Phoenix, Arizona on January 5, 1939 to Richard and Norma Jeffries. She grew up in the Valley with her siblings, and graduated from Camelback High School. She moved to Flagstaff in 1965 where she raised her girls. Sharon was a devoted, loving mother who has left an amazing legacy for her family.

Sharon met the love of her life, Jerry Ozment, and they were married on February 14th, 1981. After both of them retired from APS they started a journey of fun together. They ran the Colorado River numerous times, and for years traveled all over the US in their motor home. Sharon's love for adventure and the beauty she saw was shared in pictorial words with her family and friends through many phone calls. She also thoroughly enjoyed sharing her new culinary experiences, and they could be tasted as she described them in detail.

Sharon is survived by her husband, Jerry; daughter's Sherri Brooks (Terry), Sandi Balmaceda (Ruben), Shelly Almendarez (Arnold); step daughter's Cyndie Mattox (Glen), Tammy Martin (Tory), Dawn McCauley; thirteen grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; her mother Norma Hawthorne (Joe); brother David Jeffries (Cathy), sister Susan Myers (Gary), brother Dan Jeffries (Marlene).

She was preceded in death by her "Daddy", Richard Ness Jeffries.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 14th, 2011 at 1:00 pm at Beaver Creek Baptist Church at 3705 E. Beaver Creek Road in Rimrock, Arizona.
