Sheri Lynn Thomason, a devoted mother, grandmother, and beloved member of her community, was born on May 16, 1965, in Inglewood, California. Tragically, she was taken from us in a senseless act of violence on October 23, 2024, in Flagstaff, Arizona, where she had made her home for the past 42 years.

Raised by her belovd grandmother, Constance Marie Poston, Sheri was shaped by the love and guidance of this remarkable woman, who was the light of her life. Sheri was raised in Lakewood, California and later attended Kern Valley High School, in Lake Isabella, California where she met her first love Jeffery Wayne Thomason.

Sheri and Jeff moved to Arizona as young adults, beginning a journey that would bless them with three beautiful daughters, Sarah Kay Thomason-Roush, Amber Marie Thomason-Malin, and Heather Ann Rivera. Her daughters were the center of Sheri's world, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Together, Sheri and Jeff shared over 25 wonderful years of their lives together.

Sheri was not only a beloved mother, sister, wife, and friend, but also a resilient breast cancer survivor. With unwavering bravery and strength, she faced an impossible diagnosis and emerged as a true warrior. Her courage and determination served as an inspiration to all who knew her, reminding us that hope and love can overcome even the greatest challenges.

In the later chapters of her life, she found her second love in Jesse Garcia. Over the course of more than 16 years together, Sheri discovered a true partner and companion. Their journey was filled with love and adventure, and she cherished every moment spent by his side until the end, tragically passing away together side by side.

A woman of many talents, Sheri was an accomplished entrepreneur and a devoted accountant who worked for various non-profit organizations, both as a paid employee and as a dedicated volunteer. Her passion for creativity was evident in her artistic pursuits, including sewing and crocheting, and she found joy in baking for family and friends.

A true free spirit, Sheri loved spending time with her loved ones, embracing the outdoors, and enjoying country dancing. She carried a deep love for music, particularly Led Zeppelin, and was an die hard baseball fan, proudly supporting the Los Angeles Dodgers, a shared passion stemming from her uncle, Kenneth Hahn, who played a significant role in bringing the team to Los Angeles.

Sheri had a remarkable sense of humor that could light up any room. Her heart was as vast as the universe, and she believed in the importance of helping others. In the face of adversity, she remained resilient, embodying strength and warmth.

Sheri's legacy continues through her grandchildren, Dylan James Thomason-Pickle, Charlette Marie Malin, and Jonathan Thomas Rivera, who brought boundless joy to her life. She dedicated herself to being the best grandmother, making it her mission to create lasting memories filled with love and laughter.

Sheri's life was a testament to love and devotion, and she will be deeply missed by her family and all who had the privilege to know her. The memory of her vibrant spirit will forever live on in the hearts of her loved ones.

Sheri is survived by her three children: Sarah Kay Thomason-Roush, Amber Marie Thomason-Malin, and Heather Ann Rivera.

She is also survived by her grandchildren:  Dylan James Thomason-Pickel, Charlette Marie Malin, and Jonathan Thomas Rivera.

The father of her children: Jeffrey Wayne Thomason.

Son-in-laws:  Dylan James Roush and Stephen J. Rivera.

Nieces and nephews:  Ty Steven Oney, Rachelle Rene Gonzalez, Leonard Charles Hahn, Makayla Marie Moore, Savannah Rose Lynn Baker, Jennifer Marie Perez, Parker Smart Rollins, Sarah Alspaw, and Anthony Constant.

She is preceded in death by her guardian and grandmother, Constance Marie Poston; her parents, Leonard Bruce Hahn and Tonie Lynn Gibbs; her siblings, Tina Marie Baker and Leonard Charles Hahn; and her long-time companion, Jesse Garcia.

We warmly invite Sheri's family and friends to join us in honoring her memory on Saturday, January 25th, 2025, 11:30am at the CCV Queen Creek Campus, located at 23805 S Ellsworth Rd, Queen Creek, AZ 85142.

A celebration of life will follow the memorial service at Badlands Bar & Grill, located at 22002 S Ellsworth Rd, Queen Creek, AZ 85142, at 1:30pm.

There's no formal dress code but we encourage everyone to wear their favorite LA Dodgers gear or colors, as they were Sheri's favorite baseball team.
