Stephen Alan Drake

Stephen Alan Drake, 54 beloved father, husband, teacher and friend died Sunday evening September 24, 2006. A graduate of Northern Arizona University, Steve taught for 21 years with FUSD. Known to many children as Coach Drake, Steve spent endless hours at the golf course and the hockey rink encouraging and supporting the youth of the community.

He is survived by his three children; Kjersti, Thor, and Bjorn, his wife, Tammy, his brother, William Drake, and his parents, Susan Jordan and Paul Luke.

Family is requesting in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation in Steve's honor: 1-800-533-2873, 120 Wall Street, 19th floor, New York, NY, 10005, or on-line at www.JDRF.org. A scholarship fund has been set up for Steve's minor son, Bjorn Drake at Coconino Federal Credit union. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 30 at 10 a.m. at Shepherd of the Hills Evangelical Lutheran Church.
