It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Stephen Perkins, age 70, on March 19, 2026 in Flagstaff, Arizona. Stephen was born March 13, 1956, in Atlanta, Georgia, a son of the late Eugene and Dorothy Perkins.

Stephen enjoyed spending time outdoors, gardening in his backyard, reading, and cherishing time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Sarah and John Hellenberg, as well as their two children, Oliver and Asher. Stephen is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law, William and Janet Perkins of Atlanta, along with their children, Elizabeth Savage and Andrew Perkins.

Stephen will be remembered for his kindness, his thirst for knowledge, and love for his family. His laughter and wisdom were gifts to everyone who knew him.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Flagstaff Public Library Foundation.

Funeral services will be held Saturday April 4, 2026 at 10:30 a.m. at Citizens Cemetery, 1300 S San Francisco St, Flagstaff, AZ 86001. We invite all who knew and loved Stephen to join us in honoring his memory.
