Steven Lynn Long, 72, passed away in the comfort of his longtime home in Flagstaff, surrounded by family. Steven was a lover of the outdoors. Throughout his lifetime he taught strangers and family alike as a hunter safety teacher, stood alongside friends and soon-to-be-friends at his trap shooting club, and explored the many mountains, lakes, and forests of his beloved state among others. He was a determined business owner, running his own business with the bolstering of his wife, Mary Long. He is warmly remembered for his humor, wit, work ethic, love of hunting and all that is outdoors, as well as his never-ending love and loyalty to those closest to him. He loved his family in all of the directions that it sprouted and grew; with each new addition, he would embrace them, tease them, and love on them in a special way that was all his own.

He is survived by that same family- His wife, Mary Long, his daughter Kathee Reyes, and husband Michael, his grandchildren- Brittany Bromley and husband Matthew, Stephen Marsteen and Fiancée Julie, Kirsty Rivello and husband Josh, Justin Horton, his three Great-Grandchildren Brooklynn, Avelynn, and Benntley, as well as Charles Langley, Dick and Glenda Wright.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 pm Monday, January 19, 2026 at Norvel Owens Mortuary, 914 E. Route 66 Flagstaff.

Mass will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at San Francisco de Asis Catholic Church, 1600 E. Route 66 Flagstaff, Arizona. Burial will follow at Citizens' Cemetery.
