Obituary

Suzanne passed away peacefully at her home in Doney Park, Flagstaff at 91 years young, on December 21, 2024. She was born in 1933 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Walter and Margaret Eckers. Suzanne moved to Flagstaff five years ago from Fountain Hills, Arizona. She's preceded in death by her husband, Reece Stigler. She is survived by two children: Anne Johnson and Jack Stigler.  She loved her five granddaughters: Jennifer, Robyn, Natalie, Heather, Mia.

Suzanne lived a full life, engaged in social activities and years of traveling throughout Europe with her husband. Both Reece and Suzanne were active in German American Society as well as the Austrian Club. She was active with the Phoenix Symphony, as well as International Women's Club. Suzanne was a member of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League.

She loved playing Mahjong and cards, especially bridge over the years, briefly with Continental Country Club's league. Suzanne loved to knit baby caps for the newborns at Scottsdale Memorial Hospital as a member of the "Mad Hatters", completed 500 caps over the years.

Suzanne will be best remembered for her infectious smile and caring nature. Her faith was strong, her love for her Lord unwavering.
