Ted James Stringer passed away peacefully in his sleep May 25, 2013. He was born in Terre Haute, Indiana on February 11, 1946. His family moved to southern California where he spent his childhood. After he graduated from high school he served as an Army Quartermaster during the Vietnam War. After he returned home to California he became a master mechanic and eventually developed two successful RV sales and service businesses of his own. Ted moved to Flagstaff in 2003 and continued his lifelong passion for everything classic car. As a member of the Route 66 Car Club, he was able to share car talk with his fellow auto enthusiasts. Thankfully, he was able to realize his lifelong dream and completed the construction of a beautiful 1937 classic Ford.
Ted is survived by loving life partner, Janet Blankenship, his son, Jarrod Stringer, daughter Gretchen Duff, and sister, Joann McFarland.
