Teresa Swegle Ettenheim passed away May 2, 2011 at home in Flagstaff, due to complications of diabetes. She was born on May 10, 1948 in Stockton, California. She was the daughter of Max and Bertha Swegle and sister to Max Swegle Jr. Terry graduated from Amos Alonzo Stagg High School. In 1966 she moved to Southern California and attended UCLA, where she received both a Bachelor's degree as well as a Masters degree in Business Administration.
She married George Ettenheim Jr. in 1975 and they lived in Pasadena California, where she worked in the banking industry as a loan officer for commercial equipment loans. In 1989, they moved to Flagstaff and started Advanced Energy Concepts, a company that promoted solar energy projects for both high school and college students.
Teresa was a passionate reader, seamstress, traveler and enjoyed spending time in Hawaii.
She is survived by her mother Bertha Isaacson, her niece Veronica McCauley, her step-children Margaret Ettenheim, Kathy Stokes, Ginger Loesch, George Patek Ettenheim III and grandchildren Casey and Bailey Stokes, Claire and Samuel Loesch, Chris Small and Kim Eberhardt.
A celebration of her life, followed by a time of reminiscing, will be held at Norvel Owens Mortuary at 914 E. Route 66, Flagstaff, AZ 86001 on Saturday, May 28, 2011 from 4:00pm – 6:00pm.
