Thomas Daniel Beggs, 66, of Winslow, Arizona, died in his home on January 26th, 2007. He was affectionately known to his friends and family as "Daddy Dan" and "Biker Dan". Dan was born to Mavis and Tommy Beggs in Lashmeet, West Virginia, on October 15th, 1940. He joined the United States Air Force shortly after graduating high school, where he made a career of serving his country. During this time, he proudly served in the Vietnam War. Upon retiring from the Air Force, Dan signed on and retired from the United States Coast Guard.
Dan was a pilot and loved to ride motorcycles. His hobbies included fishing, hunting and sailing, with strong interests in politics and computers. He enjoyed spending time with his cousins, the Edwards' and will be missed by many more whose lives he has touched.
Dan is survived by his wife, Juvy, his daughter Kimberly (Victor) Hartline, six grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren, and many cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Don Jones, and daughter Andrea J King.
A "Celebration of Life" service will be held at the Elk's Lodge, located at 315 W. 3rd Street, Winslow, Arizona on January 29th, 2007 between 11:30 am and 1:00 pm.
His ashes will be scattered along the Pacific Ocean coast line, in honor of his love for the ocean, in a private ceremony with his family.
