Thomas Tissaw, 84 of Flagstaff, Arizona. He was born April 5, 1921 in Flagstaff. He was the last surviving child of Joseph and Mary Tissaw.
He served in WWII with the US Coast Guard. He was a born the USS Hunter Leggett where he shuttled soldiers for the ship onto land. Tom owned and operated Tissaw's Electric and then Tissaw's Sporting Goods for 45 years until retirement. He was a member of the Flagstaff Rotary Club where he served for 31 years, along the Elks Lodge B.P.O.E. #499. Tom enjoyed fishing, and boating at Lake Powell.
Tom is survived by his wife of over 60 years, Thalya Hays Tissaw of Flagstaff, son, John Tissaw of Glendale, and one grandchild.
He was proceeded in death his parents, Sister June Heck, brothers Joe Jr. and Bill Tissaw. Holy Rosary will be held 7:00 Tuesday, evening at Norvel Owens Mortuary, Funeral Mass will be held 2:00 Wednesday afternoon at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Chapel. Interment will take place at Sunland Memorial Park, Sun City, Arizona.
