Tracy H. Dent, of Williams, AZ, passed away April 2. Tracy was born April 4, 1920 near Clear Creek, Arizona and grew up in Belmont where his father worked for the Sante Fe railroad. After high school Tracy followed his heart and spent his life doing what he loved best – working cattle, riding good horses, and enjoying his family. Tracy had the privilege of association with the finest of Arizona ranches; including the O RO, Babbitt's CO Bar, San Rafael, Three V's, Double O, Diamond A's and spent many years managing the Gila Bend Feed Yards. He also had the opportunity to run cattle in California and Oklahoma. One of his favorite things was watching and helping young cowboys grow and learn. Tracy was humble man, wise, with a wonderful wit. He often said his greatest pride was his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years Betty Fuller Dent, four children: Leon Dent (Linda) of Brigham City, Utah, Tad Dent (Gail) of Flagstaff, AZ, Margaret Borns (Fred) of Chandler, AZ, and Hulda Hime (Stan) of Scottsdale, AZ. He was further blessed with eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by son Tom Dent and four brothers (Jack, Walter, George, Bruce). Services will be held on April 5 in Williams, AZ, at 11:30 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to the Cowpunchers Crisis Fund, 28335 West 7UP Ranch Road, Prescott, AZ, 86305 or a charity of choice.
