Tranquilino (T.C.) Ayala

Tranquilino Ayala, beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away on October 12, 2025 at the age of 91 surrounded by his family.

A lifelong resident of Flagstaff, Tranquilino was a devoted husband to Corina Ayala for 73 years and a cherished father and grandfather.

Tranquilino was a respected member of the Laborers' Local #383, dedicating his career to road construction across Arizona until his retirement. His commitment to craftsmanship extended into his personal life where he was a self-taught jack of all trades which included carpentry and woodworking, creating lasting pieces that reflected his meticulous attention to detail.

He also enjoyed watching his favorite sports teams, the Phoenix Suns and the Arizona Diamondbacks in addition to his weekly trips to the casino.

Tranquilino's life was characterized by his hardworking nature and his ability to master various skills. His legacy is survived by his loving wife, Corina; children Sylvia Martinez, Gilbert Ayala (Dottie), Vivian Nunez, David Ayala (Michelle) and Mark Ayala; eight grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was also a loving brother to Aurora Montoya, Lorraine Chavez, Joe Ayala and Richard Ayala. He was preceded in by his parents, Jose and Ambrosia Ayala, brothers Gabby, Soto, Aurelio, Steven and Angel Ayala, and granddaughter Aundrea Hamilton.

A service to honor his life will be held at 10:00 am on October 22, 2025, at San Francisco de Asis, 1600 Historic Route 66, Flagstaff, Arizona followed by burial at Calvary Cemetery. Tranquilino will be remembered as a loving family man who always had a smile, never hesitated to help a friend, and master of many trades whose influence will be felt for generations.
