Trudy Lowery Alford , born in Providence, RI in 1921, peacefully died on November 13, 2019. Trudy graduated from the University of RI with a Bachelor of Science.  Early jobs included civilian work with the U.S. Navy and General Electric. An early passion for reading and adventure fueled a lifelong interest in travel.  Employment with TWA as a stewardess followed, where she met her future husband, Lee Alford.

Albuquerque, NM became their home.  Fascinated by New Mexican cultures, Trudy embraced the architecture, languages, and people.   Love of the Southwest lead Trudy to research and write for local and international magazines. In 1960, Trudy and her family moved to Phoenix, AZ where she learned and taught Yoga.

Yoga remained an integral part of Trudy's life upon moving to Flagstaff in 2000. She was thrilled to call Flagstaff her home and stayed active in body, mind and spirit.  Vibrant to the end, Trudy was ever curious and ever resilient.

Trudy is preceded in death by her parents, brother Thomas V. Lowery, husband, Lee Alford, and son Barry Alford.  Trudy Alford is survived by her sister Muriel Smith, treasured niece and nephew, children: Janet Sproles, Karen Moran, Lee Alford, Trudy Rogers, and Marla Alford, their much-loved spouses, fifteen grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.

Services will be Friday, November 22 ^nd at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.  Rosary at 2:00 p.m. and Memorial Mass at 3:00 P.m.
