Undine Kennedy Rice

After a brief illness longtime Flagstaff resident, Undine Rice, 83, died April 22, 2007 in Flagstaff.

Undine was born August 6, 1923 in Franklinton, Louisiana. Her family moved to Flagstaff when she was two years old, She graduated from Flagstaff High School in 1942. In 1947 she married Terrance J. Rice. They recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary surrounded by family and friends at their daughter Sharon Richardson's home in Glendale, Arizona.

Better known as "Tutu", Undine was a devoted wife, mother of three, grandmother of twelve and great grandmother of six. Tutu had a great sense of humor an incredible zest for life and made each of her children, and grandchildren feel special.

She is survived by her husband Terry, daughters Debbie Rice of Bremerton, Washington, Sharon (Robert) Richardson of Glendale, Arizona, son, Rick (Sandra) Rice of Flagstaff, and her brother Juel Kennedy of Payson, Arizona. Her parents Art and Mecie Kennedy, and her sister Chinesa Hagerman preceded Mrs. Rice in death.

A celebration of her life will be held at the Flagstaff LDS Stake Center, 625 E. Cherry at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 26, 2007. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Norvel Owen mortuary 914 E. Route 66, Flagstaff, Arizona.
