Obituary

Vannessa Lockhart passed away August 31, 2012. She was born June 27, 1956. Van left us unexpectedly to join her parents in heaven. She was born in Phoenix and graduated from Alhambra H.S. in 1974. Van started her career in computers as a data entry clerk. She then advanced to more defined areas, mainly in finance, which was her niche. She lived in Denver, Colorado for several years, making many friends and memories. She loved the Denver Broncos and attended as many games as possible. She came home to Arizona and worked as a controller for Greyhound Park until it closed, then moved to Flagstaff. She worked for Flagstaff Medical Center in accounts receivable, but also wore other hats.

Van loved to crochet and knit and made some beautiful afghans. She was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2006, which changed her life tremendously, but she never complained.

She is preceded in death by her mother Gloria Wendegatz, father Calvin Lockhart, and half-sister Michelle. She is survived by her sister Lily Click, brother Frank Mandia (Laverne), step mother Jane Lockhart, three nephews, one niece and two great nephews. She will be missed by all of us, but her best friend and constant companion "Beje" will miss her most of all. Services will be at a later, undetermined date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to the Multiple Sclerosis Society and the American Heart Association.
