Victoria Spurgin Archuleta passed away peacefully on March 11, 2022, with her loving husband Gilbert Archuleta by her side. She leaves behind a brother, Barry Spurgin, three children, Matthew, Courtney, and Meredith, and five grandchildren.
Victoria was born in Lincoln, Nebraska, February 11, 1947. She was raised in Lincoln and graduated from Northeast High School where she made lifelong friends. She graduated college from the University of Nebraska with a major in elementary education and a minor in Spanish. She earned a Masters in Education and bilingual certification from NAU and taught for over 25 years. Her hobbies were spoiling her grandchildren, cooking, reading, walking, playing piano, watching football, and playing the flute in local symphonies and bands. She belonged to Trinity Heights Church where she was actively involved in music and education.
Victoria had three children. Matthew shared her love of animals, Courtney her love of teaching, and Meredith her sense of adventure. She adored her five grandchildren. Devan shared his grandma's love of history and Garrett her love of cooking. Kaedon and Tyler excel in athletics, but Grandma loved to beat them at HORSE. Victoria was so proud of her grandchildren and cherished them immensely.
