Obituary

A beautiful baby girl with the strong name Viola DeMiguel was born on February 20, 1947 to Stella and Julian DeMiguel. With much sadness she left earthside at the age of 74, surrounded by family and friends, who loved and cherished her dearly. Viola was born and raised in Flagstaff, Arizona alongside her siblings Christina Fresquez (Joe), and Julian (Butch) DeMiguel.

She attended and was a proud student of Flagstaff High School; and later on in life worked at Flagstaff High School, Marshall and Kinsey Elementary School for 30 plus years. She helped many students and colleagues get through their troubles and brought many smiles and memories that are spoken of to this day. Viola dedicated her life to all children with an open non judgmental heart. At the age of twenty she gave birth to her daughter Elizabeth Anne Beekman and three years following to Kenneth Wayne Beekman. She has bestowed many blessings upon her five grandchildren Ashley, Lauren, Jessica, Abby and Clayton and three great- grandchildren Madisyn, Jamar and her baby and best friend Denzel Angelo. She had many cousins, nieces, nephews and godchildren that brought her so much happiness. Viola loved to dance; she had many stories of her throwing parties in the family den where they would dance for hours. Her favorite color was purple and she was obsessed with flowers. She loved to dress up no matter the occasion, especially when it came to jewelry. Viola was an amazing cook, her speciafty being sugar cookies. She loved to travel and made such great memories with her seven best friends she's known for over 60 years. Viola had a tremendous love and bond with God as a practicing Catholic and was involved with the Catholic Church for years.

She spent her entire life making sure her family felt loved and were taken care of no matter the circumstances. Her personality radiated so much love, she had the biggest heart and will be greatly missed. Many tears will be shed but will come with much laughter and smiles from all of our cherished memories.

Gods' Garden

God looked around his garden

And found an empty place.

He then looked down upon the earth,

And saw your tired face.

He put His arms around you

And lifted you to rest.

God's garden must be beautiful,

He always takes the best.

He knew that you were suffering.

He knew that you were in pain.

He knew that you would never

Get well on earth again.

He saw the road was getting rough

And the hills were hard to climb.

So He closed your weary eyelids

And whispered "Peace be thine."

It broke our hearts to lose you

But you did not go alone...

For part of us went with you

The day God called you home.
