Viola Fern Sollom Gordon, 90, died Friday, June 10, 2005. Mrs. Gordon was born Sept. 1, 1914, to Olivia (Kjelgren) and Alfred Sollom. She spent her early childhood in Thief River Falls, Minn., until the family moved to Bagley, Minn., when she was 14. After graduating from high school in 1932, Mrs. Gordon continued her education at teachers' training school. She taught in several one-room schools while earning her bachelor's degree in education from Bemidji State College. She taught sixth grade in Bagley for many years and earned several awards throughout her teaching career. On Aug. 31, 1937, she married Albert Gordon and they resided in Bagley where they raised their three children, Keith, Olivia and Nancy. After Mr. Gordon's death in 1982, she moved to Cottonwood, where she lived until 2004. At that time, she moved to Flagstaff to live with her
