Obituary

Walter Anthony Beck "Walt" passed away on 5/3/21 of cancer, at the age of 81.

Walt was the type of man that could light up a room when he entered and always brought his sense of humor with him. Walt was a successful business man that loved to visit the river. He would bring his family from California to enjoy all that it had to offer for many years. Before Walt and his family decided to make LHC their home in 1979, he had to decide what he wanted to do in Lake Havasu and even got his real estate license at the time.  During this time the "Jet Ski" had become a popular water sport and what a better place to start a watercraft business then in Lake Havasu City. He started out in a small shop called Walt's Kawasaki and later grew and became Walt's Motorsports & Marine. This business was very successful for 30+ years.  Walt was also instrumental in bringing the World Finals to Lake Havasu. Anyone that truly knew Walt knew that he had a passion for cooking for friends and family, good food and good wine.  He loved Jazz and entertaining.  Walt was also very involved in his community at various levels.  Later after he retired, he relocated to his mountain home in Williams, Arizona, where he enjoyed the remaining years of his life.

Walt was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Mira Beck, and his first wife Dawn Beck. He is survived by his wife and partner of 21 years Cassie Hall-Beck.  His Daughter Denise Easter (Scott Massney) and his Son Tony Beck (Missy) with his grandchildren; John Michael Easter, Natasha Easter and Taylor Beck. He was also survived by his step-daughter, Ashley Buckles and Step-son Beau Buckles and step-grandchildren, Allora Vickers, Finley Van Cleave and Keoni Van Cleave.

Walt was a man that deserved and would want us to celebrate his life, so plans are in the works for Walt Beck's Celebration of Life. We will keep you posted.
