WANDA JEAN (ALLEN) HOFFMEYER
Born June 10, 1920 in Phoenix, AZ; Died October 26, 2007 in Flagstaff, AZ. Her mother and father, Jesse and Bonnie Allen, owned and operated a service station and general store in Laveen, AZ. Wanda was an only child; she graduated from Phoenix Union High School in 1938. She was a writer and artist and worked for various newspapers including the Arizona Daily Sun in Flagstaff and the Williams News.

While working in Williams she met Edward Martin (Eddie) Hoffmeyer; they were married on August 31, 1956. Eddie passed away in August, 1987, and Wanda continued to live in Williams until moving to Pine Meadows Ranch (an assisted living home) in Flagstaff on February 1, 2007. Wanda was an active member of the United Methodist
Church in Williams as well as the Williams Senior Center.

Wanda was preceded in death by her mother and father Bonnie and Jesse Allen, and her husband of 31 years, Eddie Hoffmeyer. She is survived by her step son and wife Fred and Carolyn Hoffmeyer of Yuma, AZ, step grandson & wife Johnny and Mona Hoffmeyer of Yuma, step granddaughter Kori Hoffmeyer of Green Valley, AZ, and step great grand children Maryn, Liam & Rori Hoffmeyer all of Yuma. Wanda is also survived by special family friend and neighbor, Brenda Carter of Williams.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Wanda's assisted living home, the Pine Meadows Ranch, 7885 Easy Street, Flagstaff, AZ 86004-3268.

Funeral Services will be held Monday November 5th at 10 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Williams. A visitation will be held for one hour prior to services on Monday. Burial will conclude services at the Williams Cemetery.
