It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Wayne Jones, who left us on December 18, 2025. Born on January 31, 1957, Wayne lived a fulfilling life as a source of inspiration and joy to those around him. His memory is cherished by his beloved daughter, Jazmin Jones, and by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Wayne was a proud and active member of Springhill Baptist Church serving as a deacon for 15 plus years.  His faith was a cornerstone of his life, and he served his community faithfully as a consistent and devoted attendee. His spiritual convictions extended beyond the church walls and guided the way he lived, treated others, and supported causes close to his heart.

His dedication to social justice led him to serving as the VP with the NAACP, where he contributed meaningfully to the organization's mission for 10 plus years. His guiding values were rooted in Jesus, Family, and Friends, which shaped every aspect of his life. Wayne also had a deep love for Marvel movies, reflecting his belief in courage, hope, and the hero within every person.

Beyond his church and community involvement, Wayne was a devoted husband and father. He took great pride in his work as a store director, carrying out his role with professionalism, commitment, and integrity. Above all, his greatest accomplishment was his family, to whom he dedicated his life with love and loyalty.

In his free time, Wayne found peace in fishing, a pastime that brought him calm and joy and reflected his appreciation for nature and quiet moments. His absence will be deeply felt, as will the loss of his warm spirit and infectious enthusiasm.

Wayne's life stands as a testament to resilience, compassion, and unwavering faith. While we mourn his passing, we also celebrate a life lived with purpose and conviction.

Funeral services will be held on January 17, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church.
Following the service, a repast will take place at 12:00 p.m. at Springhill Baptist Church, where family and friends are invited to gather in fellowship and remembrance.
