In Loving Memory of Wes Tyler Colliflower

Wes Tyler Colliflower, 19, passed away unexpectedly on August 22, 2026. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his family, friends, classmates, teammates, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Wes was born in Havre, Montana, at the end of September 2006. In 2007, he made Flagstaff, Arizona, his home, where he grew up and spent the majority of his life.

He was the beloved son of Patrice Yazzie, and Lyman Colliflower. He was a loving brother to Brent Colliflower, Kylie Colliflower, and Augustus Colliflower, step mom Kim Traversie Colliflower, step brothers to Kendell Murie, Calvin Traversie, Reid Murie, and Griffin Murie. Wes was also the cherished maternal grandson of Pauline Begay and Dan Yazzie, the paternal grandson of Sybil Sangrey Colliflower and John Colliflower III.

Wes attended STAR School, Cromer Elementary School, Sinagua Middle School, and Coconino High School, where he graduated. During his school years, Wes was involved in many activities and created lasting memories with those around him. He played basketball in the Flagstaff City League and football for Coconino High School. He also played the violin while attending Sinagua Middle School and was a proud member of the Coconino High School Native American Club.

Wes's life was marked by the connections he made with others. Through school, sports, music, and his community, he shared his time and talents with many people. His presence brought memories and moments that his loved ones will carry with them always.

Wes was preceded in death by his maternal family members Jimmy Begay, Carmen Lane Begay, Louise Bedonie, Theodore Bedonie, Joanna Little, Janice Little, Craig James Little - Bonnaha, Aaron Otero, Evaristo Martinez, Donny Griffin, Aaron Otero; and his paternal family members John Colliflower Jr., Madeline Colliflower, Minnie Sangrey, Sam Sangrey Sr, Sybil Sangrey Colliflower, Madeline Gardipee, Rena Gardipee, Dennis and Mike Sangrey, Theodore Skinner, Pasty Rainingbird, Theda Raining bird, Simmer Raining Bird, Billy and Robert Gardipee, Leon Long Fox.

Though Wes's life was far too short, the love he shared and the memories he created will remain in the hearts of his family and friends forever. His life will continue to be remembered through the stories, laughter, friendships, and love he leaves behind.

May Wes Tyler Colliflower rest in peace and may his memory forever be a blessing to all who knew and loved him.
