William F. Gray died peacefully, on September 18 while in the care of Olivia White Hospice House. He was 88 yrs old and a member of America's Greatest Generation. He grew up during the great depression and served in Europe during world war II as a flight navigator and radio operator. After the war, he returned to Cleveland Ohio to resume married life with his wife, Olivia. Together, they raised 3 boys, William Jr., Michael, and James. They moved to California in 1959, where he lived until early 2008, when he moved to Flagstaff.
William liked to watch baseball and football and enjoyed being with his friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Nellie, his father, William Sr., his sister Margory and his wife Olivia. William leaves behind his 3 sons, 12 grandchildren and would have become a great-grandfather in November.
Visitation will be Monday evening from 6 to 8 at the Norvel Owens Mortuary, 914 E. Route 66, his Funeral Service will be 10:00 Tuesday morning also at Norvel Owens Mortuary.
