Obituary

William (Bill) Leroy Adams 75 of Flagstaff, Arizona passed away on Saturday February 14, 2015.

Bill was born May 20, 1939 in Valley City, North Dakota to Ralph Ezra and Frances Mary (Carmen) Adams. Bill married Iris L. Overton-Byers on June 5, 1959. Bill was an Electrical Draftsmen with AC Spark Plugs after graduating from Boys Tech in Milwaukee, WI. Moving to Phoenix, Arizona in 1958, Bill worked in Construction, building power plants and roads including Glen Canyon Dam in Page, Arizona. As a Teamster he taught welding in the apprenticeship welding program, later starting his own Welding Business in Flagstaff, Arizona.

He loved family, hunting, boating, River Rafting, horses, dogs, and was a leader for the Cinderhillbillies 4-H club in Flagstaff for many years. Bill loved to tease and tell jokes and will be remembered for his ornery sense of humor.

Surviving Bill is his wife Iris, his three children and their spouses, Harold and Suzanne Adams; Robert (Bobby) and Tina Adams; Mary Catherine (Kathy) Skiles; 9 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren. Bill is survived by two younger sisters and their spouses, Sharon and Alex Martinez; Francine and Sam Hurst and numerous step siblings, nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at Norvel Owens Mortuary on Route 66 in Flagstaff, Arizona, with a public viewing Thursday February 19, 2015 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm and memorial service the following morning February 20th at 10:00 am.
